Check out Handley Cellars in beautiful Philo off hwy 128- Anderson Valley

Check out Handley Cellars- a beautiful winery located on Hwy 128 in Philo.  Chris our host and server was so gracious.  He was full of knowledge and explained the ins and out of the heritage of the valley.   He also explained the history of Handley Cellars, all the items in the tasting room that were on display, brought from different parts of the world by Handley's Father.  You feel like you are traveling into different worlds.  On display was also some beautiful glass pieces made locally.  Reminded me of the "Unique Glass Wine Art" www.WineFrill.com offers on it's website.   We went to the patio and enjoyed some wonderful lines of wines, sparkling- 2015 Handley Blanc de Blanc, 2015 Estate Chardonnay- nice fruit forward creamy- 2014 Zinfandel Redwood Valley- Finished with the 2014 Primitivo Vittorio Vineyard, Redwood Valley-  Fantastic array of wines, great service, Ah yes the final question- What region does Primitivo come from in Italy?   do you know?  more to come......
